North Koreans operate under the Juche philosophy, founded by Kim Ill Sung in 1948, essentially stating that the highest in political power should be worshiped and treated as gods. Consequently, it is a crime to say or do anything that could be perceived as even remotely negative towards the great leaders. (Ideology in the DPRK, Hwan)
